The Mimikay Political Movement has intensified its grassroots engagement with the launch of a strategic door-to-door initiative aimed at strengthening grassroots alignment, political education, and public awareness.
The exercise was led by the Convener of the movement, Hon. Oghenekaro Akpososo, alongside the Deputy Director General, Comrade Ogheneochuko Palmer. The leadership team moved through communities, engaging residents directly in discussions focused on civic responsibility, unity, and informed political participation.
Speaking during the outreach, Hon. Akpososo stated that effective and sustainable political development must begin at the grassroots. He emphasized that personal engagement with community members builds trust, fosters inclusiveness, and strengthens the foundation of the movement.
Comrade Ogheneochuko Palmer also underscored the importance of political enlightenment, noting that educating citizens on their rights and responsibilities is essential for building a progressive and people-oriented structure.
Residents reportedly welcomed the initiative, describing it as a positive step toward bringing leadership closer to the people. The outreach reflects the movement’s commitment to peaceful mobilization, community engagement, and sustained grassroots integration.
