Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda Driving Health Sector Reforms in Delta

The Delta State Government has reaffirmed that healthcare remains a central pillar in the state’s development strategy, with several reforms being implemented under Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda to improve access to quality medical services.

The administration has continued to remove long-standing obstacles in the health sector while upgrading medical facilities across the state to ensure better service delivery for residents.

As part of the reforms, the government has embarked on the renovation and upgrading of primary healthcare centres across communities, while also strengthening the presence of qualified medical personnel, including doctors and nurses, to provide timely care to patients.

In addition, modern medical equipment such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines have been introduced in some facilities to improve diagnostic services and enhance the quality of treatment available to the public.

Officials say the ongoing investments in healthcare infrastructure and personnel are aimed at building a stronger and more efficient health system capable of meeting the needs of residents across the state.

The reforms are also expected to improve healthcare access at the grassroots level while supporting the overall goal of creating a healthier population that can contribute meaningfully to Delta State’s development.
