Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Darlington Ijeh, has declared his support for Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Ijeh made the declaration while speaking on the need for sustained public support for leaders committed to driving reforms and inclusive development across different sectors of the economy.
He described President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as a bold and pragmatic roadmap aimed at repositioning Nigeria for economic recovery and long-term growth.
According to him, the President’s ongoing reforms and strategic policies are already laying the foundation for economic stabilization, improved governance, infrastructure development, and increased investor confidence.
The commissioner noted that for the full benefits of the administration’s reforms to be realized, Nigerians must continue to support the government and actively participate in strengthening democratic institutions.
As part of efforts to deepen democratic participation, Ijeh called on Nigerians, particularly members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress, to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate in the party’s ongoing electronic registration exercise.
He explained that the APC e-registration initiative was a critical step toward strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and encouraging wider participation of citizens in the democratic process.
Dr. Ijeh also commended Governor Oborevwori for what he described as focused and people-oriented leadership anchored on the MORE Agenda of Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.
According to him, the policy framework has continued to promote inclusive growth, strengthen peace across communities, and accelerate sustainable development across Delta State.
Highlighting the governor’s grassroots orientation, Ijeh said Oborevwori’s leadership style reflects empathy, accessibility, and a deep understanding of the needs of ordinary citizens.
He expressed confidence in what he described as purposeful leadership at both the federal and state levels and noted that sustained public support would be key to achieving continuity of development in the country and Delta State ahead of the 2027 elections.
