WARD 3/7 STAKEHOLDERS MEET TO STRENGTHEN GRASSROOTS ENGAGEMENT AND PARTY STRUCTURES IN UGHELLI NORTH.

Hon. Oghenekaro Akpososo, Distinguished Director-General of Mimikay Political Movement and an illustrious son of Afiesere Community, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, attended a strategic meeting of selected leaders and stakeholders representing the various communities that make up Ward 3/7 of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.

The meeting, which commenced at 12 noon, was held at Sobaz Filling Station, by Afiesere Bridge, and was convened by Olorogun Ovuoke Oshasha and Chief Godwin Adode, popularly known as Coach Tete, the immediate past Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area.

The gathering brought together political leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for strengthening grassroots political engagement, consolidating party structures, and working towards the collective objective of achieving APC 5/5 at the grassroots level.

A key issue discussed was the need to recognise and empower dedicated party faithful, political leaders, and grassroots mobilisers who continue to contribute their time, resources, and efforts towards advancing the party's interests and supporting government programmes.

Participants emphasised the importance of creating effective channels through which committed stakeholders can be reached, supported, and connected with the relevant arms of government.

Hon. Oghenekaro Akpososo's participation further reflected the importance of collaboration among community leaders, political stakeholders, and organised political movements in addressing grassroots concerns and strengthening relationships across the various communities within Ward 3/7.

The deliberations also underscored the need for sustained communication between the grassroots and government, ensuring that the contributions, concerns, and expectations of party members and community stakeholders receive appropriate attention.

As political activities continue to intensify, the meeting served as a platform for consultation, strategic planning, and the exchange of ideas on how to build stronger political structures and encourage greater stakeholder participation.

The central message was clear: sustainable grassroots engagement requires unity, consultation, recognition, and meaningful collaboration between political leaders, committed party members, and government.
