Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor commended the monarch for his remarkable contributions to peace, development and nation-building across Delta State and Nigeria.
Governor Oborevwori described the Orodje as a bridge-builder and a leader of integrity whose influence continues to foster unity and progress within the state. He noted that the monarch’s decades of service have been defined by his commitment to harmony, cultural preservation and the advancement of his people.
The Governor praised Orhue I as a respected royal father, a custodian of Okpe tradition and an exemplary leader whose guidance has remained invaluable to the Okpe Kingdom and the wider Delta community.
“Over the years, Orhue I has made remarkable contributions to the growth and advancement of Okpe Kingdom, Delta State and the nation at large,” Oborevwori said.
He also acknowledged the monarch’s support for the state administration, describing his role in uniting his subjects and strengthening the traditional institution as vital to the state’s development objectives.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), CFR, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Orhue I, on his birth anniversary,” the Governor said.
“As Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, you have consistently demonstrated humility, impeccable leadership and an unwavering commitment to peace advocacy,” he added.
The Governor joined the people of Okpe Kingdom in celebrating the monarch, praying for continued good health, wisdom and strength as he continues to provide leadership across the state.
He further described the Orodje as an inspiration, mentor and role model to both his contemporaries and younger leaders, and prayed for many more years of impactful service in good health and divine wisdom.
