The Mimikay Political Movement has expressed profound appreciation to the Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the successful groundbreaking and flag-off of the N59.7 billion Agbor/Uromi Junction Flyover in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area.
In a statement issued on Monday, the movement described the historic ceremony as a clear demonstration of Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to infrastructure development, road safety, and inclusive growth across Delta State.
According to the group, the Agbor/Uromi Junction Flyover is a long-awaited and strategic intervention that will significantly reduce traffic congestion, curb frequent accidents, and enhance the free flow of people, goods, and services along the busy Lagos–Asaba Expressway corridor.
The Mimikay Political Movement noted that the project, awarded to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc with a completion timeline of 14 months, will not only improve mobility but also stimulate economic activities, create jobs, and preserve lives in Agbor, Ika Nation, and adjoining communities.
“The flag-off of the N59.7 billion Agbor/Uromi Junction Flyover is another testament to Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda and his promise of balanced and even development across the three senatorial districts of Delta State,” the statement read.
The movement further commended the governor for prioritising projects based on merit, competence, and urgency, while also applauding his assurance that the flyover would be completed within schedule and to the highest standards.
While thanking His Excellency for the massive investment in Ika South Local Government Area, including other road and drainage projects, the group reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Oborevwori-led administration.
The Mimikay Political Movement urged Deltans, particularly residents of Ika Nation, to continue to support the governor’s vision, stressing that the Agbor/Uromi Flyover stands as a symbol of purposeful leadership, continuity, and people-oriented governance in Delta State.
