Oborevwori Attends 65th Independence Thanksgiving Service in Asaba

 


Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Sunday attended a Thanksgiving Service to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Asaba.


Speaking at the service, the Governor described Nigeria as occupying a strategic place in God’s plan for the nations of the world, expressing optimism that with unity and prayer, God’s will for the country would be fulfilled.


He paid glowing tribute to the nation’s founding fathers for their sacrifices and courage, and commended the clergy for their continuous prayers for the country.


Oborevwori noted that Nigeria is still evolving in terms of growth and sustainable development, but urged citizens not to despair, assuring them that his administration remains submitted to God’s leadership and guidance.


He congratulated Nigerians on the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary and wished the country continued peace, progress and prosperity.
