The inauguration of the Uvwie Chapter of the OSU Political Forum was marked by a strong display of political support as Hon. (Barr.) Edafe Emakpor, member representing Uvwie Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, arrived the venue to a massive crowd of supporters.
The large turnout, which filled the venue, highlighted Emakpor’s growing grassroots influence and political strength within the constituency.
Addressing members and supporters at the event, the lawmaker urged them to remain united and committed to securing victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, in the 2027 general elections.
He called on the newly inaugurated executives and members of the OSU Political Forum to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts and continue promoting the policies and programmes of both the state and federal administrations.
Emakpor commended Governor Oborevwori for his performance in office, noting that the governor has shown capacity and dedication to governance. He emphasized the need for continued support, stating that sustained backing would enable the administration to build on its developmental achievements across the state.
The lawmaker further stressed that the Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie Federal Constituency—being the governor’s political base—must take the lead in delivering strong electoral support for both the governor and the president in 2027.
He also praised the leadership of the OSU Political Forum, led by its National Chairman, Hon. Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, for its role in promoting good governance and supporting government initiatives. He encouraged members to remain steadfast in fostering unity and active political participation.
The event featured a high level of enthusiasm and solidarity, with supporters turning out in large numbers, signaling readiness for future political engagements.
