The Delta State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Izeze, on Sunday marked the last Sunday of the year with a traditional Christmas-season visit to former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan (CON), and his wife, Deaconess Mrs. Roli Uduaghan, in Warri.
The visit, which formed part of a long-standing Yuletide tradition, was described as a moment of gratitude, reflection and the celebration of enduring relationships.
In a goodwill message titled “Happy Last Sunday of the Year,” Izeze noted that the Christmas holiday season is always incomplete without a visit to what he fondly referred to as “Uncle’s Den” whenever he is in Warri. He disclosed that the tradition has been sustained for over two decades.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of remembering one’s humble beginnings and appreciating those who played significant roles in shaping one’s life and career. He expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Uduaghan, whom he described as a major influence whose support and guidance have remained invaluable over the years.
Izeze also offered prayers for God’s continued blessings, protection and good health for the Uduaghan family, while extending warm seasonal greetings to friends, associates and well-wishers as the year draws to a close.
