Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, flag off the construction of the 11.725-kilometre Okpanam–Ugbolu Road, a major infrastructural project within the Asaba capital territory.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Asaba by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon.
According to the statement, the ground-breaking ceremony is scheduled to hold at Ugbolu by 10:00 a.m. and represents another bold step by the Oborevwori administration to boost road infrastructure, enhance inter-community connectivity, and stimulate economic growth in the area.
The Okpanam–Ugbolu Road project, when completed, is expected to open new residential and commercial corridors, decongest traffic, and strengthen socio-economic ties between the two rapidly developing communities.
Ahon, while urging residents of Okpanam, Ugbolu, and neighbouring areas to turn out en masse for the event, described the project as a clear demonstration of Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to delivering more quality infrastructure under his M.O.R.E. Agenda.
