Delta Widows Hail Oborevwori as “Promise Keeper” Over Welfare Scheme

 





Widows in Aniocha North Local Government Area have applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his sustained support to their welfare, describing him as a “promise keeper.”


They gave the commendation on Thursday, September 26, during the continuation of the Widows Welfare Free Medical Health Scheme registration at Issele-Uku, headquarters of the LGA.


The scheme, initiated by Governor Oborevwori and implemented through the Office of Chief Isioma Okonta, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Social Investment Programmes, in collaboration with the Delta State Contributory Health Commission, provides monthly stipends and free medical care to widows across the state’s 25 LGAs.
