The Urhobo Christian Ministers Association International has expressed pride in the leadership of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, commending his administration for promoting peace, inclusive governance and widespread infrastructure development across the state.
The commendation was made on Wednesday by the President of the association and General Overseer of God’s Will Mission Inc., Archbishop Solomon Gbakara, when members of the body paid a courtesy visit to Government House, Asaba, to pray for the Governor.
Archbishop Gbakara said the ministers were grateful to God for Governor Oborevwori’s leadership style, which he noted had fostered peaceful coexistence and ensured balanced development in all parts of Delta State. According to him, the Governor’s approach to governance has strengthened unity and stability across the state.
He praised the Governor for carrying all segments of society along, adding that since Oborevwori assumed office, Delta State had not experienced crises between the executive, legislative or other arms of government. The cleric attributed this stability to the Governor’s wisdom and intelligence in managing state affairs.
Archbishop Gbakara also lauded the administration’s massive infrastructure drive, citing the construction and rehabilitation of roads, schools and strategic flyovers across the state. He described the projects as impactful and far-reaching, noting that their spread across different communities reflected the government’s commitment to equitable development.
He further commended Governor Oborevwori for maintaining a cordial relationship with the Federal Government, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the cooperation between the state and the centre had contributed to peace and accelerated development in Delta State.
The association assured the Governor of its continued prayers and support, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver sustained development. Archbishop Gbakara urged him to remain focused and proactive in leveraging every opportunity to further improve the wellbeing of Deltans.
In his response, Governor Oborevwori thanked the Urhobo Christian Ministers Association International for the visit, prayers and encouragement. He assured them that his administration would continue to work tirelessly to promote peace, unity and the overall development of Delta State.
