Senator Dafinone has also played a prominent role in protecting human rights and promoting community safety. He co-sponsored the Senate motion condemning the killings in Okuama and secured relief support from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for affected communities. He personally visited the Okuama IDP camp to deliver food items and essential supplies.

Through sustained engagement, the Senator facilitated the release of the traditional ruler of Ewu Kingdom, HRM King Clement Ikolo, and secured the release of Pa Dennis Okugbaye on December 17, 2024, after months of military detention.

Economic Revival and Strategic Interventions

In fulfillment of a key campaign promise, Senator Dafinone successfully secured federal funding for the first phase of the Sapele Port rehabilitation following direct engagement with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also advocated for and ensured the completion of the Gamon Bridge rehabilitation, restoring vital connectivity between Mosogar and Sapele.

To strengthen food security, the Senator launched a two-day agriculture and food security training programme, distributing starter packs, seeds, pesticides and tools to farmers across Delta Central.

Empowerment, Health and Cultural Promotion

As part of his empowerment drive, Senator Dafinone distributed tools and equipment to over 2,500 constituents, including sewing machines, generators, welding machines, agricultural tools and household appliances. He also distributed 1,200 bags of rice, fertilizers to farmers, and facilitated conditional cash transfers of ₦50,000 to beneficiaries through the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment.

In the health sector, free medical outreaches were conducted across all local government areas, offering screenings for diabetes, hypertension, malaria and tuberculosis. To promote cultural preservation, the Senator sponsored the Urhobo Language Competition, with winners across 24 kingdoms receiving prizes totaling over ₦2 million.

Youth, Education and Employment Advancement

Senator Dafinone has strengthened engagement with traditional rulers, professionals and stakeholders through routine “Meet and Greet” sessions in Abuja, while supporting scholarships for students across the district.

He has also facilitated employment, recruitment and promotions for numerous Urhobo indigenes in federal institutions including the Nigeria Police Force, NSCDC, FIRS, NDDC, NELFUND, NASS, FUPRE, PAP and others. Several students also benefitted from federal scholarship opportunities through his interventions.
