Delta Government Announces Maiden MSME Summit for December 3–5

The Delta State Government has unveiled plans for the first-ever Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Summit, scheduled to take place from December 3 to 5, 2025, in Asaba.

Organised by the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA), the three-day summit is themed “Advancing Delta MSME: From Vision to MORE Value.” It aims to bring together entrepreneurs, policymakers, industry experts and other key stakeholders to explore growth opportunities and address emerging challenges facing MSMEs in the state.

According to DEMSMEDA, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will formally declare the summit open, while celebrated banker and entrepreneur, Mr. Tony Elumelu, CFR, is expected to serve as chairman of the occasion.

In an official statement, the Executive Secretary/CEO of DEMSMEDA, Dr. Godwin Adolor, described the summit as a major step in advancing the Oborevwori administration’s commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem and expanding economic opportunities for Deltans.

He noted that interested participants can register online as attendees, exhibitors or innovators pitching business ideas through the agency’s website.

The event will hold at the Mariam Babangida Leisure Park, Anwai Road, Asaba, commencing daily at 10:00 a.m.

Dr. Adolor added that the forum will feature engaging sessions and knowledge-sharing opportunities designed to boost the visibility and value of MSMEs across the state. He also extended invitations to selected dignitaries to deliver goodwill messages during the summit.

Prospective participants and stakeholders have been encouraged to complete their registration via the DEMSMEDA website.
